• A thank-you at Cholmondeston Lock

A quick note of thanks from the towpath this week.

Support at the lockside

On the Fund Britain’s Waterways Facebook group, Shirley Sefton shared a photo of Ian from the Canal & River Trust backing the campaign at Cholmondeston Lock. It is good to see the people who look after the network getting behind it too.

You can see Shirley’s original post on the Fund Britain’s Waterways Facebook group.

Why the campaign matters

The Canal & River Trust looks after thousands of miles of canals, locks and bridges, but it can only do so with proper funding behind it. Fund Britain’s Waterways is a coalition of more than 160 organisations calling for reliable, sustainable, long-term government funding for the waterways that hundreds of thousands of us use and love.
