Shuttle boats and live music at the Bowbridge Arms, 25 July

Here’s one for the diary if you’re near Stroud this month. The Cotswold Canals Trust is teaming up with the Bowbridge Arms for its first collaborative canal event on Saturday 25th July, from 12 noon until 7pm.

The Trust will run shuttle boats between Wallbridge and the Bowbridge Arms throughout the day (until 6pm), with live bands playing and volunteers on hand sharing the Trust’s work and raising funds through games and canal-themed stalls. The Bowbridge Arms is getting stuck in too, with a special BBQ menu and a share of all food sales going to the Trust.

It sounds like a proper canalside day out — music, boat trips and good food by the water. The Trust is also looking for volunteers to help with face painting and promotions on the day, and would love to hear from anyone keen to perform or lend a hand.
