• Celebrating Bob Williams — 30 years of service to the canal

At this year’s AGM, the Lichfield & Hatherton Canals Restoration Trust celebrated Bob Williams’s remarkable 30 years of service as he retired from the Board.

In recognition of his longstanding dedication, Bob was formally awarded the honorary title of Vice President. A cornerstone of the Trust since joining in 1996, and a former NatWest banker with an FCIB qualification, he brought invaluable commercial finance expertise to the charity over three decades.

It’s a lovely send-off for someone whose steady contribution has helped keep the restoration on course for so long. Thank you, Bob — and a very happy retirement.
